The Stare-down Noelle was watching a movie and enjoying some cotton candy.  First Shadow was up in her face and every time she shifted to look around him he would shift back in front of her line of vision.  Once she got the cotton candy he just sat in front of her and stared at her  LOL!!

Adam had his monthly pack meeting last night.  He earned 3 belt loops, 3 pins, and an arrow point this month! Chess, Video Games, and Skateboarding  Since Uncle Derrick helped Adam earn the Skateboarding belt loop and pin we invited him to the meeting.Thanks Uncle Derrick!! Furnace I spent my last day at home with NO KIDS freezing my butt off.  The furnace decided to stop blowing warm air overnight into Monday.  Ugh.  I am thankful I was home to know that there was a problem.  Otherwise it would have been a very cold Monday evening and overnight into Tuesday.  My brother, Merle, who owns Mayberry Maintenance, was able to come over Monday evening and fix the furnace

Noelle read ALL the bold capitalized words in Hop on Pop tonight!! My brave boy at the lab for a blood draw. Adam had to go to the Pediatrician for a weight check today.  We've been dealing with his un-hearty appetite since nearly day one and it never gets less frustrating.  He has stayed on the same growth curve for height (50%) and weight (25%) and his BMI is fine.  But I look at my little boy and his body just doesn't look healthy.  But it is...and he is.

My shiny new faucet and hot water spigot. We had a wonderful and fun Christmas Day with our families! We started off early on Christmas Eve by opening a family gift from Greg and Michele and the kids each opened their Christmas clothes from Grandma Sheri. Between working FT and being pregnant I am just having a hard time keeping up.  My entire life gets posted to FB, but since this takes more effort it is harder to get to. GD - I was diagnosed with gestation diabetes on the Monday before Thanksgiving.  HUGE bummer.  My 1 hour number was 244 and they want you under 140.  Of course, I have very little self control when presented with free donuts.

A couple weeks ago I took the kids to the library to get their own cards.  Adam needed one as a requirement for something in Cub Scouts.  I had them each chose and check out their own books.  Adam chose a book about Sea Turtles and Pokemon Adventures Vol. 7.  He told me the book cover was backwards but I didn't really pay any attention, just gave him a quick, "Yup, it reads a little differently."

Adam decided to try out Cub Scouts this year.  We are all enjoying it!  At the Pack meeting last Monday he earned his first patch!  He has already completed all the first year requirements, so he is able to work on the Wolf stuff with the rest on his den.  We are so proud of him!! Justin and Adam decided on a movie night tonight and picked up Eragon and The Seeker while they were at the store.  They also got some fun snacks and dinner foods.  We ended up with 7-up, a variety of popcorn, spinach artichoke purses, mini crab cakes, mini corn dogs, mozzarella sticks, and dippin' dot style ice cream.  The movies were good even though Noelle was a little scared by The Seeker.

Wednesday we did the Hammond's Candies tour.  It was much shorter than I thought it would be, but it was neat to see.  Cathie joined us along with her 3 kids and 1 daycare kiddo.  Her older 2 are the same ages as mine so they get along great when we see them! Greg and Michele were able to attend one of Adam's t-ball games Monday night.  He played a great game! He was catching most of the balls while playing catcher.  He also had a great live hit and ended up making it all the way home! Go REDS!! Noelle has done fairly well at this year's games.  She usually eats non stop and that keeps her occupied and well behaved.

Michele found a great craft to do with the kids using yarn on her last day in town.  Octopi and a doll.  Adam was able to help braid the legs on his Octopus.  I'm not sure Noelle did any actual helping but she became very attached to the yarn doll the next day after she face planted on the way into the library.
